OK. If ABC had taken the tape and aired it over the weekend, the things freepers were wishing to happen to ABC likely would. I am sure the CIA/FBI/HS would not take kindly to them airing a TERRORIST tape without them seeing it first.

Since the discovery of this tape was likely 'just as described', then there was not 2-6 months prep time for the networks, the journals, and the Kerry camp.

ABC got the tape on the weekend, when the pencil sharpeners are on duty, and MGMT is home. On Monday, MGMT sent copy to CIA and awaited their response before doing anything.
