Here in So. Calif. at 10:45 am emergency alert interrupted FOX news and said to dial channel 6 for more info. They announced an emergency test of the siren/alarm at San Onofre power plant. Maybe this is a routine test, but I don't recall having them announce it this way before.
But listening to it, while I was reading this thread just about gave me a heart attack. And I knew in advance that it was going to sound!

I saw that, that's the first time I have seen a public emergency test since right after 9/11. Something is up out there.
