Me neither. And also check out the results by region. Does Bush lead by only six points in the South? No way.
If I was a conspiracy theorist, which I am not, I would suspect that the Washington Post pollsters are loading up their poll with young men (18-24 yrs.).
"Bush polls badly on Saturdays, and worse on Sundays. It has been proven over, and over again."
Hopefully Tuesday is one of his good days. Cause we don't have the luxury of doing it over, and over again.
The reason Republicans are difficult to reach on weekends is that a disproportionate number of them work on weekends, frequently at jobs they've created. They are also more likely to screen their calls or have unlisted numbers.
I think the real problem is that both sides are out more on weekends -- for whatever reasons -- and therefore you don't get as representative a sample as you do on weekday evenings (when more Americans are likely to be at home during the evening times that most pollsters call).
What did DH have to say about this that got you so pumped?
That's true. Democrats and Independents who are out on weekends are likely to be homeowners and/or workers as well. That would certainly create a less representative sample.
see post 79. gotta find his new book, and will go see him speak thursday.
Exactly. The problem is not a more Democratic sample, but a less representative sample of adult human beings as a whole, whether voters or nonvoters, Republicans or Democrats.
Well done, FRiend. You've given the reply the MSM wants.
We have known all along that the polls will begin to favor Kerry. It is to discourage us from voting.
Perhaps it's time to pull out the bumper sticker from the 1992 campaign: ANNOY THE MEDIA--REELECT BUSH. Only this year, let's add the words: --BIG TIME!
Yup! --- Look at what happened in Australia.
