Scott Peterson's Defense Could Rest Tuesday

Scott Peterson's defense team could rest its case Tuesday.

On Monday, his lawyer called on Peterson's mother to try to explain why he had nearly $15,000 in cash on him when he was arrested. She says she gave him back $10,000 that she accidentally withdrew from his account.

His lawyer also questioned police about whether someone else could have been responsible for the death of Scott's wife, Laci, and her baby.

Prosecutors say he killed her and dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay nearly two years ago.

The defense maintains ........

I know what you mean about the OJ verdict. In spite of the prosecution not being the best (they didn't even ask for the death penalty as an option that would have been a great help in jury selection) and in spite of Henry Lee's false testimony, the case was a slam-dunk. It never occured to me that he would be found not guilty.

Nancy Grace asked if the jurors would have time to vote & the one guy answered her with "yes" they will be given time to vote, so from that I'm assuming they will be in court Tuesday.
