Scott Peterson's Defense Could Rest TuesdayScott Peterson's defense team could rest its case Tuesday.
On Monday, his lawyer called on Peterson's mother to try to explain why he had nearly $15,000 in cash on him when he was arrested. She says she gave him back $10,000 that she accidentally withdrew from his account.
His lawyer also questioned police about whether someone else could have been responsible for the death of Scott's wife, Laci, and her baby.
Prosecutors say he killed her and dumped her body into the San Francisco Bay nearly two years ago.
The defense maintains ........

Very damning for the Defense is the fact that with great fanfare they brought on famed Criminalist Henry Lee ( of OJ fame) and renowned forensic Pathologist Cyril Wecht.
Both men spent weeks poring over evidence. Neither expert testified at the trial.

was kind of shocked MG didn't put on dear old Dr. Lee, but I think he knew he couldn't help his case in any way!I don't think he ever intended to have Lee and Wecht testify. I don't think he wanted them working for the prosecution or appearing on tv and giving their opinions which most likely would have been anti-Scott.
