This thread is meant to be a single place to discuss all of the daily talk and news shows.
Any radio or TV shows may be commented on. Want to rant about IMUS, Matthews, O'Reilly, Bring It On!
Here is a link to the original thread.
I've come up with a webpage that has direct links to some Radio Stations that stream on the internet.
The primary web page is here.
The backup web page is here.
Bookmark it if you listen online.
Laura was joking on her radio show today about the bright lipstick they talked her into wearing last night. Looks like the same person did her up tonight.
Am I the only one who heard Walter Cronkite tell Larry King that Karl Rove probably "set up" the Bin Laden video?
I was amused to hear Ben Venzke, MSNBC's terrorism expert tell Keith Olberman that osama is media savvy. He said, Osama listened to the traction it got when Bush was accused of reading to children, rather than tending to the people in the towers. I don't think Keith expected or wanted that answer, a definite slam directed at Michael Moore.
"BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
OSAMA BIN LADEN (through translator): Your security is not in the hands of Kerry or Bush or al Qaeda. Your security is in your own hands. Any nation that does not attack us will not be attacked.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
KING: OK, Walter. What do you make of this?
CRONKITE: Well, I make it out to be initially the reaction that it's a threat to us, that unless we make peace with him, in a sense, we can expect further attacks. He did not say that precisely, but it sounds like that when he says...
KING: The warning.
CRONKITE: What we just heard. So now the question is basically right now, how will this affect the election? And I have a feeling that it could tilt the election a bit. In fact, I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing. The advantage to the Republican side is to get rid of, as a principal subject of the campaigns right now, get rid of the whole problem of the al Qaqaa explosive dump. Right now, that, the last couple of days, has, I think, upset the Republican campaign.
KING: Are there enough undecideds to tilt this? Or what do you think of the whole election picture?
CRONKITE: Well, I think it's one of the biggest messes we've had in a long time. I believe that we're undoubtedly not going to know the results of this election. I don't want to knock you off the air on Monday night or anything, or Tuesday night. But I suspect that we're not going to know who the next president is, whether it is Bush or the new man, until very probably sometime in the early spring. There's so much controversy that they're planting, deliberately planting at the polls, that there's almost certainly to be a suit going back to the Supreme Court eventually, going through the other courts slowly first.
KING: Who's to blame for this?
CRONKITE: Who's to blame for it really is the intensity of this campaign. Plus the fact that we have a preface to this in the last campaign. What year was that now?
KING: 2000. .."
oops, I forgot to provide the url so you can read the entire interview. just a sec

---and there went another 'icon'!!!!
I thought it might be interesting to keep a record here when we hear MSM pundits and pukes make their predictions.
Sorry I am so late in replying. I have started listening to Morning in America too! In fact, it is radio all day for me. After Morning in America it is Neal Boortz, then Rush, then Saun Hannity! It sure saves the nerves!
Please add me to the list.
Harold Ford, Jr. is making his rounds as he was just on Fox & Friends stumping for his guy. I detest that guy and didn't bother to hang around.
IMUS seems cockier than usual and is reminding MSNBC that he will be voting at 6:00 a.m. in New York so cameras can capture it. Puke.
I was surprised to hear that Shays is fighting for his political life in Ct. What are you hearing in your state.
Apparently Evan Thomas had said Bush had reason to lie because he actually believed in something versus Kerry who doesn't believe anything but continues to lie. Did anyone catch Evan Thomas earlier?
I haven't heard much about this until today. I did hear a radio campaign commercial for his opponent today tying him to Bush's failed policies.
A few minutes later later I heard a radio commercial from Rudy Giuliani praising him for being part of the Bush team.
I'll have to check in to this some more, but I guess we will find out tomorrow one way or the other.
That's what he said. I don't understand the logic of how that's a positive thing, but Imus seemed to agree with him that it was better than Kerry's non committal to anything..
Bear in mid that everyone at Newsweak is in the Kerry Camp. It's just a matter of how blatant their bias is.

As she had hoped, she drew more viewers than Chris Matthews Hardball show. Laura had an 8 rating compared to Matthews 7 rating for its 7 pm Eastern time show that night. In the important demographic group (I'n not sure which one), Laura had a 4 rating compared to Matthews 2 rating. |

I don't think he could stomach it. I don't know of any rational person who could, for that matter. It is a depressing thought. It is contrary to natural law. It is unthinkable. |

Rush: I want the election decided by Congress ^ |

Says he wants the election to be so close and contensious that it will have to be decided by Congress per the 12th amendment. Since Congress will stay Republican, that's it. Tearing into Cronkite about his lunatic statement that the Bin Laden tape was created by Karl Rove and the Republicans using CGI technology... Suggests that the Left look in the mirror and see what they have become... Kerry had to take a poll before responding to the tape... no sense of right and wrong... |
