NYT DEVELOPING EXCLUSIVE FRONT PAGE STORY ON TERRORISTS AND EXPLOSIVES. EDITOR HAS SET LEAD POSITION FOR STORY, NEWSROOM SOURCES TELL DRUDGE... DEVELOPING...
Now that's very interesting.
If the Bush camp was smart they would turn the mising explosives story and the killing of the 50 ING soldiers to their advantage in three different ways.
1. These are munitions Saddam denied he had and a reason why we had to kick him out.
2. The munitions were supposed to be monitored by the IAEA (if memory serves) a group closely aligned with the U.N. the group that couldn't find these explosives in the first place.
3. The soldiers were killed by a group of al-Qaeda terrorists, a group that sKerry and others denied were EVER in Iraq. When actually al-Zarquawi and company were waging a war with the Kurds in the north for about a year before we invaded and Saddam knew about it.
RXD and HMX are just explosives like TNT. (Chemically they are almost identical.)
They have slightly different properties than TNT, so they are used when different roles are called for. They are only slightly more explosive than TNT and less explosive than Nitro or Cemtex for example.
This is a nothing story. There are munitions bunkers all over the country with more killing power than this stuff.
Hey! You woke me up for no reason?!
:)
Right.
And since these things happen were bound to happen when there are munitions bunkers all over Iraq, and the terrorists and Sadd-amite types are working together, what are Deputy Dowd & Co. gonna tell us they would've done "better" I wonder?
Oh, right,they won't.
They'll just criticize it like John "Too many..,err,wait,I mean, too few troops" Kerry did the minute this so-called "story" broke.
The pubbies should get some spin doctors out on this because, well because what you said is true and any sane person would deduce same.
Those 50 Iraqi soldiers killed is the major story of the week. And it DIDN'T require any explosives. IF those missing explosives are all over the place why didn't the 'insurgents' (read-terrorists) use them and just blow up the trucks carry those poor guys?
There was an inside tip on this. Someone on the inside knew those guys would be travelling home and would likely be unarmed.
The Dems screaming about something that happened ages ago makes me sick. They have no scruples whatsoever.
Kerry is already blaming Bush for this headline on T.V.
WMD found? ping!
Well lets just hope that someone with more pull of me figures this out too.
The whole country is ammo dump of conventional weapons. Saddam made sure he spread thousands of high explosive caches around the country. He foresaw a guerrilla warfare against the Coalition, and that has happened.
The New York Slimes are not reporting anything that is not common knowledge for the last 2 years.
Kerry: "Blindness, stubborness,... not protecting 380 tons of weapons."
God, this guy and the Slimes think you are stupid.
380 tons is minuscule amount that would not fill two munitions igloos. The terrorists have ten thousand times 380 tons of high explosives. What do you think they've been shooting at our troops?
NYT and Kerry are hoping for your ignorance and naivete.
This is so much NYT Bullsh...

It's leading the radio news breaks, too. Absent of any context, naturally. Just the typical, "Parrot what Kerry says" scare line.
New York Times = "All the lies that are fit to print". Anything they print is unreliable until proven otherwise.
Republicans better get out in the media and explain its old news!
This story breaking now instead of months ago smells like a democrat dirty trick, but I think it could play in our favor. Mainly, it tells us that there's something important at stake in Iraq in the first place. Everyone knows by now that in a big country like that not all the weapons could be found; what needs to be played up now is what we've been saying all along, that Iraq is a weapons and terror center, and we need to be on the job instead of whining about how we're there in the first place.
Sean Hannity just announced before a break that there were no weapons there. What this means....? No missing weapons???
See NBC BLOW[S] A HOLE IN NY TIMES' EXPLOSIVES STORY (KERRY SPOT)
There was some reason why both couldn't have been guarded?
I'not certain that it's all that big a deal, either but it certainly is fun to see you folks get your knickers in a twist. I'll give you this; the neocons have planted so many lies that now you see lies everywhere.
RGE
"The question becomes: why the secrecy?"
Would you have preferred that we sent an open invitation to all terrorist and other assorted thugs and criminals to see if they could find WMDs in Iraq before our troops had a chance to look?
It's now Tuesday and the IAEA letter and NYTimes report is deemed fraudulent, NBC embedded reporter was with soldiers when they got to weapons cache area...there were none there, but that aside...you were "so right" about how many dump truck size loads it would take to move this stuff out! Fox did a visual of what you wrote in your reply and it was stunning! Good job! Keep us posted with your astute insights and information.
