It's good that they endorsed Bush..
This can't hurt. I don't think Ohio is an absolute must, but if we have it . . .
A rather dubious endorsement, but an endorsement just the same. It's nice to know the yankees are getting some sense. ;-)
My brother (Capt., Army) lives in Columbus, so it's not all bad, ha.
Thanks for posting. We need to read all the endorsements we can get.
Ask and you shall receive...just be careful not to get too cocky. This election's not over 'til Nov. 2nd. Heck, maybe not even then, by the time the Dims get done with it.
Vote for Bush. The alternative is scary.
Thank you Columbus. Well written article. I can understand some of the arguments presented. Lets hope it has some positive results for W.

I am shocked. I opened today's Dispatch expecting to see their endorsement of JF Kerry.
It has been reported that the publisher has gone beserk over Pres. Bush's decision to go into Iraq and the paper has taken on a decidedly lefty bias.
I am truly shocked, but this is very good for GWB.
I also get the impression that GWB knocked the socks off the publisher and the paper's editor when they flew from Washington to Columbus for a campaign rally here.
Please freep the poll on the front page--54% disagree with Dispatch endorsement of Bush. HELP! Our local news reports these results so freeping appreciated!

Seems like good news all 'round in Ohio:
Columbus Dispatch: FOR Bush
Cincy Enquirer: FOR Bush
What about the Dayton paper? Have they endorsed?
Any other large town papers?
Seems to me these endorsements could be critical to a Bush victory in OHIO.
Central Ohio, Columbus, has always been a conservative city, as well as the Columbus Dispatch. The Dispatch has been toying with liberalism for several years. This is as close as they can get without losing their readers. Have they ever endorsed a Democrat?
