I bet Robert Byrd could be taken out in 2006. The only thing that's taking Robert Byrd out of the Senate is a hearse. He will never lose an election; West Virginians know where their bread is buttered.

Unfortunately, Byrd shovels so much pork back to WV that he practically owns the state. He won't go unless he decides to leave (or mother nature does it for him). Even if we wanted to challenge him, there's really no one with the stature to match Byrd. He's like a king there.

I bet Robert Byrd could be taken out in 2006.The only one who will tell Byrd his time in public life is over is The Almighty. For a guy who's got shrines to himself all over the state and shoveled enough pork into WV, people there obviously like the guy.
