Since when does the United Nations determine what research is or is not done in the world's sovereign states? What enforcement means do they have? Why is time and energy being spent on a "liberal limousine" issue when thousands are dying in Africa?

As far as I'm concerned, the Royal Pains in the A** can appeal to the corrupt U.N. all they want.

Dr. Robert Lanza and Wendy Goldman Rohm are a couple of liars who can't even tell the truth about the president's position and policy regarding stem cell research. Given the degree of falsehood in the first sentence of the article, there is not a shred of credibility that would warrant reading the rest of it.

Utilitarians such as yourself have learned well from the Josef Goebells of the world, I'll give you that.

Nat Hentoff makes a powerful, secular pro-life case precisely along these lines. The language that dehumanizes a fetus is starkly similar to the language that dehumanized the Jews and the Tutsis. And once you dehumanize a life, it's easier to justify destroying that life.

There is no potential for life from an early stage embryo generated in a test tube.

Congratulations, Wendy. You just put the in vitreo fertilization industry out of business.
