Does anyone really care about skin color anymore? I'm ready to move on.

I live in one of the most conservative towns in Ohio. Yet, my church is filled with interracial couples, and adoptive interracial families. It's become a non-issue.

The only people I see focus on racial issues are Dems who want to exploit some stereotype for votes. Republicans have moved beyond all this.

Have you ever seen Bush mention skin color? He doesn't. He just treats people right. I think Bush's absolutely convinced that once blacks have decent educational opportunities in public schools, a lot of this racial tension will die down. Proper education trumps quotas, because it corrects the core problem. Bush's educational philosophy presumes that blacks are every bit as intelligent and honorable as whites.

There are a host of interracial family members who post regularly on FR.

I'm one of them. A Southern whiteboy/Indian married to a half-Japanese/half white California girl.

Totally agree with you that it's just not that big an issue anymore.

As near as we can figure, Tonto Junior carries the blood of the Choctaw Indian tribe, Japan, Netherlands, England, and Scotland. Maybe some French, but I refuse to acknowledge it.
