in the old days, both the demos and the Pubs were patriotic, American loving people....
I honestly don't believe the Demonrat party loves America anymore....
so, it boils down to patriotism....

Great thought and I agree. The Dem Party of John Kennedy is closer to the GOP of today and the Dem party is closer to the Socialist, well make that Communist Party of that time. The Dems are for killing babies, eliminate God, defile everything of value and have everyone dependent upon the state. Thus they hope to control the people.
In the past, both parties were patriotic. In the past, there were major dissension in time of war as well. But I do not know of any party that really wanted to sell out America.
