Todd, you've probably heard it all by now - how much we love you, how grateful we are for your service and sacrifices, how the children have new Marine role models, and how many of your neighbors are learning they have very good neighbors for the first time. You've probably received "virtual" ((hugs)), and poems, and - I am certain - daily prayers - and soon, new bar-b-cue tools, and all of it can not make up for what you give, but I hope our support makes the rare, restful moments a bit sweeter, and you carry it with you always where it's meant to rest, deep in your heart.

Thank you, Todd.

This afternoon, people from all over the camp came to meet "The Luckiest Marine in Fallujah". The bad news is that this does not get me an early ticket home....We are still doing good things here and we will continue to help the people of Iraq until our last day in country.

Coop's friend, Todd - recovering from recent wounds, grilling hamburgers, playing football in a war zone - will be reading this thread (in case anyone else missed his wonderfully upbeat letter).
