Well, so far the October "suprise" is that you don't know
how to spell "surprise".

WHAT WILL BE THE OCTOBER SURPRISE?

Maybe the Bushies will FINALLY get their talking points straight and will hammer home the fact that Kerry refuses to sign the form which releases his military records??????

At the very least, JFK's fake "honorable" military service needs to be exposed.... Geeze. I'm sickened by the fact that the GOP is giving Kerry a pass on this and I will NEVER forgive them for it, especially if Kerry wins.

Estrich has been very quiet lately. Her column after the RNC Convention noted the Texans for Truth, (that happened), the National Guard re-do (that happened) and then something termed Texas Women for Truth.

Would the Christain right fall for a "Bush paid for an abortion" smear ? Would it matter? That's the only card left from Bush's past that hasn't been played but has been rumored.

The only thing at this point that could do damage IMHO would be something unreported related to 9/11 failure or collusion. It wouldn't have to be true, just "credible" in the eyes of the MSM.

That's what I think the DNC was after with the CBS story was an attack on the one area they haven't been able to dent. Bush's truthfulness and honesty.

This is what I believe is at the core of his "leadership" lead in poll numbers. It is that number, not the top number I've been most interested in within polls and how they ask it.

I think some of the top number in the polls is anxiety about how things are, a wish to return to 9-10. However the overwhelming lead in the "leadership" number seems to indicate most people have their eyes on a 9-12 world.

"It is customary to post a post complaining about vanity posts every time someone posts a vanity."

It seems to also be a growing custom to 'slap' the complainer (as you experienced). ;-)

If there is a terror attack I bet it is either next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Everyone is expecting that Kerry will be found to have had a less than honorable discharge. But I suspect it will simply be a video of Kerry being proud and admitting he is a liberal.

It will also come out that a Bush DUI happened while he was in the TANG. Who know whether it's true?

Real surprise is we stop three big terror attacks, but we never hear about them.

Karl Rove is going to force Edwards to sit and primp his hair in front of a video camera and make himself look more silly & feminine than a dozen Kerry $1000 Christophe haircuts would ever do. Then he's going to arrange for the media to take pictures of Kerry applying for a gun license, buying new camoflauge clothing to go along with the jacquestrap he purchased for snowboarding, and make him display one of the most absurd photo-ops since his former boss Michael Dukakis bobbed around in a tank. That Rove is sure one evil genius and I'm glad he's on the side of the good guys ROFLMAO.

Some said October 27th because it's the "blood moon" and end of Ramadan.

Lefties think Bush will be visiting troops in Iraq or Afghanistan this Saturday. (He supposedly has a trip to Crawford on his itinerary.)

My more paranoid friends worry that Tony Blair will tacitly endorse Kerry.

Don't ya miss him?

Bush trhrows Opening pitch in "Busch" stadium and encourages the Cardinals to beat that liberal Boston team.

Bush can't carry MA anyway, scores points in the battleground state.

I think it will be a Bush paid for an abortion story, and if that happens I think it will be enough to swing it in Kerry's favor, even if it's disproved rapidly, by a press that wants to just forget all about that and concentrate on how people are "feeling more hopeful" now that Kerry is coming to save us all.

If not that, then there will be no October Surprise, but a November not-surprise: That starting with Kerry, every losing candidate will use his thousands of lawyers to find SOME way to win.

I wish this election were over. I'm not having any fun, I'm too worked up over the horrors of a Kerry candidacy. So I donated another $50 to the RNC. It ain't much mut it's a lot to me. Odd how I have this sense even though the evidence is that Bush is doing well in most battleground states and all the evidence is there of a substantial win--but that was the case last time, and the Christian Conservatives stayed home in droves over a stupid incident decades ago. I hope they're happy with the resulting taint on the Bush presidency. Man, am I rambling...

I can assure you the dems are trying to sell one or more scandals to the media as we speak. If they can get one through their preference will be something personal against the president.
