Not nerves but anticipation. I vent through verbal/graphic levity @ Free Republic. The people around my neck of the woods are far too steeped in lock step PCism so much so that they remind me of the town villagers who fled the streets and locked up their window shudders as the Frankenstein monster lumbered through town. Tragic

year, the dems are doing some different things to get attention. just heard in Dallas that DNC has started sponsoring the traffic reports you know every six minutes or so. BTW I thought you weren't supposed to offer anything that had monetary value in return for voting? Whatsup with the flu shots in SC?

1. Avoiding the evening news and Sunday talk shows as much as possible. A quick look at FR in the morning and brief glances at Drudge headlines during the day tell me if anything major is happening.
2. Limiting my time on FR. Anxiety is catching.
3. Reading.
4. Watching old movies.

I'm not at all nervous. If Kerry pulls any BS without the final vote on Election Day being exceedingly close, he will only be contributing to the further destruction of his entire party, just as Algore did in 2000 ... and Bush will win in the end anyway, just as in 2000.
If the vote is close, and Kerry manages to eke out a "win" through legal trickery and/or fraud, and we allow it to stand, then we will be getting the government we deserve.
I myself will then convert to nihilism, have my "Atlas Shrugged" moment, and sit back and relax and enjoy the fireworks for the next four years.
As for the potential of Kerry to actually win the election fair and square with an unchallengeable EV majority: I just don't see that as a realistic possibility at this point, given the polls and the trends.
