While YOU may be realizing higher profits/cost savings by doing so, the costs to the nation as a whole -- free healthcare in the local ER, food stamps, the plethora of US welfare benefits, etc., etc., etc ad nauseum are being passed on to the REST of us in the form of higher property and other taxesThen END all such programs - take away that incentive. I have no problem with those that want to enjoy our freedoms, I just don't want to support them to the detriment of my family.

Amen!! Been fighting for THAT for 30 years -- with a lack of progress conspicuous by its absence!
Non-discretionary/entitlement (euphemism that) spending has ballooned under Dems and Pubbies to where today it represents over 85% of the budget.
Repeat after me "WE'RE DOOMED!"
