If you think traffic congestion is bad now, just wait. The best part is, most local and state governments can't afford to build new roads, and onerous regulations implemented since the 60s make building new roads even more expensive.
You'll get people saying that we need "smart growth" to avoid these problems--but their idea of "smart growth" has nothing to do with population and everything to do with roads and housing.
