Great post.
We had a great evening last night as we watched "Stolen Honor" in the company of its producer, Carlton Sherwood.
Mr. Sherwood said that small events were springing up everywhere around the country showing this DVD. It is becoming a "cult" like phenomenon.
I thought I was pretty up on all the Kerry Vietnam era information. However, I was blown away by the testimony of the POW's in this documentary.
Mr. Sherwood said something that really hit me. Bud Day and all the POW's have asked for an apology and explanation from John Kerry about his actions after leaving Vietnam. Kerry will not give these American Hero's the courtesy of meeting with them. Kerry is scared to death of them.
Sherwood was brilliant in wondering how can Kerry face down serious threats to our country if he doesn't have the courage to face 80+ year old Bud Day?
Bud Day is a man of honor, commitment, integrity, and truth...an honest to goodness, real hero. This is what scares Kerry about him.
Me too! It was a terrific event, and generated a lot of discussion about how to spread the word. A petition was started to encourage a local independent movie house to show it in our community. Carlton encouraged us to put pressure on Fox and on talk-show hosts to help get the word out.
This is a very moving documentary. I grew up in the Viet Nam war years, with nightly newscasts about the body counts and later, the protests. Kerry, Fonda, and Hayden were instrumental in sowing division and defeatism among Americans. Kerry has blood on his hands, and he will move heaven and earth to keep people from realizing it. We owe it to our soldiers and to our children to fight his suppression of the truth.
