Go see it! It is such a slap in the face to the left.

I'm wondering if the kitties are in some way a tribute to our own viking kitties here on FR!

If you didn't stay for the last, last, song in the credits, you missed a wonderful "homage" to Alec Baldwin that wasn't in the movie. My sides still hurt. BTW, there was a much older crowd in the matinee and the laughing was uproarious. It's a total send-up of Hollyweird leftists. Trey Parker is BRUTAL on Hollywood.

If we're in a culture war, then Trey Parker has taken up the rough and crude weapons of mass hilarity in order to make a point. Like any war, it ain't pretty...but it sure is satisfying to win.

I will definitely be buying this on DVD when it comes out. I'm sure the uncut version will be even better! I find it so funny that only Sean Penn has expressed anger about the film. The lefty actors are in a catch22 with this film, and they know it! They can't criticize it because they know it will make them look as foolish as they do in the film. Perhaps Matt and Trey should give Karl Rove and call and help with some strategery.

I just got back from seeing Team America

**** Yeah!

That was awesome. I went with a liberal friend of mine who laughed throughout, but afterwards shook his head at how "biased" and "one-sided" it was.

Apparently he didn't appreciate his side being portrayed as the pu**ies they are.

I cannot reccoment this movie highly enough, and I hope they have a soundtrack that I can impose on my co-workers ASAFP.

SEE THIS MOVIE (Well, there are some dirty words and some sexual puppet content, but you should probably lighten up a little)

Posted on another board earlier:

I got done with my test early, and just saw it. I'm still recovering and will remember stuff for days.

1) Do not take anyone insulted by foul language, any form of bodily function or positioning, or with any sense of "political correctness". Especially not children.

2) Anyone who says this movie was politically balanced is either a hypersensitive conservative or a extremely wishfully thinking liberal. heheheh Pacifism is sharply criticized, albeit in graphically sexual terms.

3) Lots of subtle stuff in there. You have to know a little bit about Broadway to catch the shot inherent in the theme song. Movie parodies I can recall, besides the obvious on the Bruckheimers, included Star Wars, Kill Bill, Bond movies, and I'm sure there were others. To catch everything would take at least three viewings.

4) No Academy Award nominations this time. The "Team America" theme would require enough bleeps to make no sense, the country song was hokey maximized, the "Pearl Harbor" has great lyrics ("I need you like Ben Afflek needs acting school" ) but a weak tune, Kim Jong Il's song was way too politically incorrect, and just forget about the Broadway theme LOL.

5) Kim Jong Il is allegedly a big movie buff. It's a tossup who will be more angered by their portrayal: him or Alec Baldwin. On the other hand, George Clooney, an early South Park enthusiast, may appreciate his fate in a "role reversal" sense.

6) The female characters are total dolls. I borrowed this line from another thread

7) "Puppet sex" is even funnier than it sounds.

8) "PDA" may be an electronic device, but I won't be able to hear the expression for awhile without snickering.

Final verdict:

One final point....there is one actual live human appearing in the movie...see if you can spot him....

Honestly, I don't think it was. The film does a great job of mocking conservative self-righteousness, patriotism in general, Toby Keith, CIA incompetence, and the military's gung-ho spirit. It's just that the impact is lost on liberals because the mainstream media does the same thing all the time, while treating the F.A.G. types as sacred cows. Truly even-handed mockery favors our side.

I loved the movie. The PDA analogy was perfect, and no one who sees the film will have any doubts which categories Bush and Kerry fall into. Kim Jong Il ought to be preparing a defamation lawsuit! Though I loved what he did to Hans Blix.

And even for a puppet, Lisa is adorable. ;)

The weirdest moment in the film for me was when I found myself really, really wanting the two chick puppets to kiss each other.

Really.

I haven't seen "Kill Bill" bit I took the fight between the female characters as coming from Crouching Tiger.

Simply hilarious movie that has Team America save the day in the end.

Make sure to stay to end to hear Kim Jong sing "You are Worthless Alec Baldwin."

That is one of the funniest songs of the film!

Trust me, it is worth it to stay the extra 5 minutes after the film ends.

Well then, I guess that is why Team America saves the day while the world comes together for a peace conference under Kim Jong......a conference during wchih he would try to launch terrorist strikes.

The leftists are trying to use the film to serve their ideology, but it just doesn't work.

I didn't laugh as much as I thought I would, but it was still a good movie. My expectations were probably too high.

Ultimately, it goes mostly after the left. While it does satire excessive bombings etc. by taking down the Eiffel Tower, Team America ultimately saves thet day while everybody else is silenced. The point: Though imperfect, America has to get involved.

It's truly a great flick!.....

Let me guess. Only people under 30 think this film is full of yucks.

We have troops on the ground, fighting the forces of evil...I don't find that to be very funny.

I'm a drop-dead serious conservative, but I can find humor in anything.
