The film does a great job of mocking conservative self-righteousness, patriotism in general, Toby Keith, CIA incompetence, and the military's gung-ho spirit. It's just that the impact is lost on liberals because the mainstream media does the same thing all the time, while treating the F.A.G. types as sacred cows. Truly even-handed mockery favors our side.

I would agree you on this... I call it RaRa-ism

JimRob passed new rules. You MUST be in Pajamas to freep.

I think pajamas with the FR logo would be a good premium, maybe for montly donors of a certain level. Or, FRN donors.

"The Pajama Club"

(Or, maybe a strange swinger network has already used that name.)

Yup..troll since 2000.

I'm thinking he truly is a MANCHURIAN troll........ who patiently waited 4 years just to choose this highly politically charged and socially significant thread to reveal himself for what he truly is in an attempt to disrupt the natural order of Free Republic......, :)

BTW, don't let the Lions' record of 4 - 1 fool you. Green Bay is now kicking their butts and the Lions will be lucky to bat 500.......in 25 minutes it will be martini time

I liked it.

But I gotta say I liked 'Orgasmo' better. Even the 'South Park Movie' was better.

You eather like Parker/Stone or you don't.

BTW if you do you might search for the princess flash animations they made (Google 'princess episode'). Apparently Macromedia paid them a million or two to make twenty episodes. When they saw the first two they said 'just stop, you can keep the money'. The first two have leaked. Basically they are the things too crude to get away with anywhere except the internet. Watch them in order.

I realized later that, since I have been here longer than the poster in question, my opinions are more valid and, by his logic, I am guaranteed to be right and he is guaranteed to be wrong.

Just got home from watching Team America - Sunday Matinee - seeing the most obnoxious hollywood actors getting blown up was an extremely satisfying experience...LOL

Perhaps, but I'm 48, and both my husband (56) and I loved it! Of course, we still subscribe to Mad Magazine so that might not say a lot about our level of humor maturity ;-).

I'm heading for the big 5-0 in a few years also, and enjoyed the movie...and MAD magazine..I have not read it in years..used to be my favorite...you are people after mine own heart :)

I wasn't going to see it but could not resist once I got to the theater. It was extremely funny. That syrupy-sappy country & western freedom song just killed me. I hate those songs and loved seeing them mocked, lol. And the Pearl Harbor Sucks song was funny too. Alright, everything was funny! (and I don't even watch South Park)

I have an 11 year old who is protesting to see it.

No way would I take an 11 year old to this film. Luckily, there were no kids in the audience when I went today.

Oh my... too sick, twisted, perverted, and XXX rated even for South Park! (What did Macromedia expect from these guys?)

The DPA speech toward the end of the movie was my favorite part. I was literally LMAO. Loved the movie as a whole. This will definately be added to my DVD collection as soon as it's released.

"sinful joy" is an oxymoron.

Oh lighten up, your suggestion that FReepers can't handle some un-PC languange makes me wonder if YOU should join DU. They ridicule michael moore, that's good enough for me.

And why is it less offensive to write F' yeah, instead of just spelling it out? Your mind translates the abbreviation anyway... it's really just a childish superstition to abbreviate or write f#$% or whatever.

48 year old conservative here, just got back from seeing the movie. Loved every minute of it. The only two questions that matter to me are: 1) was it fun, and 2) did I enjoy it. The answer to both questions is a resounding YES. People should not get all serious and hung up about the movie. It was just silly X-rated puppet fun. I highly recommend the movie, but not for children.

Jon Alvarez: I cannot bring myself to support a film

HairOfTheDog: Gee, there's a big surprise.

The above is my only post to you this thread up to now

Listen you little twerp. If you can't take a little banter on these movie threads where we often disagree, then ignore me. What you won't get away with is to hide your mean little replies to me in FRMail where no one else can see it. I am posting your words here:

He's just a sad, ronery little man, honey. I think I know where he fits into the "DPA Paradigm" though.
