One of Boston's best radio talk hosts, Jay Severin, a conservative, is talking a Kerry election win on his show now. He is variously predicting, as a result, 2 million Americans dead in attacks here in the US and Hillary Clinton on the SCOTUS.
I realize it's his business to be controversial, but he is also a political vet. He says Bush can't win now without an October Surprise in his favor, and that Kerry operatives will swing the election to Kerry if they have to commit massive fraud. Claims that the net effect of the three debates was to give Kerry legitimacy while doing nothing for Bush.
Does Severin know something we don't?
Who?
No. But Jay's a good guy, great to listen to, but I'm sure even he's been wrong a time or two....
Uh, I'm listening to the show right now and he's saying no such thing. He's saying he thinks the debates hurt Bush but he doesn't know how much--he even led the show by saying that like the Sox he thinks Bush has been hurt but he still has lots of hope Bush will pull it out in the end.
Never heard of him!
He also said 3 nights ago that the Boston bats will overwhelm the Yankees.
Looks like a get out the vote tactic. Scare the shtt out of folks to go out and vote.
"Does Severin know something we don't?"
The name of a really good crack dealer?
Shad up Jay
Severin's being pessimistic. He should trust his fellow citizens more.
Welllll.... He could be right. Or he could be wrong. I hope (and believe) Bush will win, but I'm preparing myself for the worst.
I think Severin is more of a Libertarian than a conservative.
Jay is trying to shock some people back to their senses. Many Americans still have not really thought about what a Kerry Presidency would truly bring.
Be careful listening to Jay. He was just saying last week that Kerry could not win because he is not trusted on the terror issue. He was also predicting a serious terror attack last year based on his sources and spoke kindly about Kerry early on in the race.
Then who is lying? papianice? Somebody is.
Maybe, maybe not.
Severin describes his political beliefs as libertarian/libertine.
I suppose he has some kind of evidence as to why he thinks this way, or is that just some kind of flat assertion we're supposed to take as gospel truth?
J's off the mark here, wonder how much gigilo is paying him for this promo!
