Every time I hear some sort of defense like this I ask:
"Who are you trying to convince you are acceptable? Me or You?"
Usually, there is no answer.

No, in their view the hole is Kerry's. That is why there were gasps in the press hall. That is why they are hysterical. That is why they are on defense trying to spin Kerry out of this comment.
How are we being hypocritical? We haven't stated we are for gay marriage. We haven't stated we are for homosexuals being treated with disrespect. We have stated Kerry had no right to bring a private citizen of the opponent into the debate to attempt to score political gain.
You are wrong in stating we should back away from doing what is right. Mary Cheney was treated disrespectfully and I, for one, am not going to allow the Kerry campaign to get away with this.
My bigger problem with Kerry's remark's about Mary Cheney, is he presumed to know what her answer would be if asked.
Not only did he purposefully mention her being a lesbian to get a rise out of his opposition, but he put words in her mouth.
Everybody with a brain knows that's a low blow.
I can't believe he called Lynn Cheney a bad parent.
LOL! And Dims have the ability to call Nose-Tackle-Elizabeth "beautiful."
They keep this up and they are going to lose really big. This is below the belt and it will turn mothers away.
IMO, Kerry-Edwards slime think that some hardcore bigoted militia type conservatives or religious zealots are going to not vote based on finding out Cheney's daughter is a lesbian.
The media exposure alone in this has got to throw it into the plus column for Bush as it is one of the most crass and distasteful campaign tactics played in modern politics...that and the Special Olympics flyers.
Ronnie Reagan is to Ronald Reagan, as Emperor Commodus is to Marcus Aurelius.
It grieves me everytime that weasel opens his mouth that I have to feel that way about someone named Ron Reagan.
I won't propose that I think I know what Pres. Reagan thinks but if I were to guess ...

Psst ... Little Ronnie is not a junior. His name is Ronald Prescott Reagan. President Reagan had a different middle name. I just refer to him as Ron Prescott. He is not even of shadow of his mighty father.

Little Ronnie, last time I checked, has absolutely ZERO experience when it comes to being -- or even wanting to be -- a parent.
