Wesley Clark, you are a nutcase who wanted to start WW 3 in Kosovo. Kindly STFU.
President Bush was talking about how he appreciates the people across the country praying for him.
He related that someone asked him, "How do you know they're praying for you?"
The President said, "I feel it"
(not exact quotes, but you get the gist)
That's what I heard... they watched the debate there on the big screen... my mother in law went...
A whole lot of praying today for Bush and our nation here today,too...
The marrying up line was copied from Bush in an earlier venue, but for John Kerry it took on new meaning, money, not character.
I will give you this: Jenna and Barbara Bush are a LOT more attractive than their paternal grandmother.
Local Phoenix radio talk show host said on FOX News earlier today that 40k were going to be at the BC'04 rally, and less than 10k at the Kerry rally.
...but do you think Alan Colmes could get off the benLaden thing. If that is all he has well.....and Weasel Clark!Yuk! No wonder he was fired from the service!
Bob Schiefer considers himself a middle of the road moderate. I heard him say exactly this, on Hannity's radio program.
Exactly. Also the President laid waste to any of Kerry's assertions and stats. Kerry reminded me of one of those teacher's pets, who drones on when reading his report and the class watches the clock.
Chris,
Bush won. He did not control the themes or the direction of the debate, but he got in some damned good shots and was presidential. He began the assault on the Kerry record, quite effectively in some cases.
The true measure of the debate, IMHO, was the last two questions: one on the role of faith, one on spouses. Here, Bush shone with joy, optimism, and the hand of God. Kerry, by contrast, looked like a child dropped off at the wrong birthday party... he was elitist, aloof, and a snob. He even had the poor taste of insulting himself and, by inference, his wife.
Scheiffer was a dreadful moderator and made sure that Bush got the worst questions. He also violated the agreed upon rules, question after question -- there were very few 30 second rebuttals throughout the evening.
Bush won, on substance, yes, but on personality, convincingly.
OK!! thats good enuff for me :)
Yankees WIN! Kerry-Sox looooooose!
***I blame the Sterling Cabernet.***
Yep, I've had to do the "one-eye-closed-careful-typing" too . . . but without the wine I've had stroked out by now . . . or my husband would have shut me in the basement.
Vanessa Kerry just said the economy was the main issue in the campaign. Can we say, "She has no clue?!?!?!?!"
Probably not. If it's like the last debate, they will replay the debate about ten times in a row.
I can't watch Alan Colmes. I have to mute him or I'd lose what's left of my mind.
The Yanks won 3-1.
