What purpose does tearing down his performance serve?

Best to focus on what is said. The over the top naysaying after the first debate did not help anyone but the dems.

That Bush is the right man at the right time is the message, so listen to what he says and amplify it. At the same time, instead of feeling one must offer "objective" criticism on their own man, focus on what Kerry says and make sure to communicate the harm his agenda would cause and that he is not to be trusted.

It is time to help Bush get his message out, not complain about how he alone sends it.

i think it serves our purpose to be objective. If we tell ourselves Bush did great when he did not- such as in the first debate- then we kid ourselves into complacency.

Bush is not doing well overall- this race was pretty much wrapped up before the debates and now it is all in play again. WI was up by 8, now it's 4--ohio was Rep now it's in play. The effects of the debates are obvious.

Everyone needs to get off their kneepads and get real. Bush needs a decisive victory tonight and we need to be objective. Our job gets more difficult if he doesn't pull it out.
