Kerry received an Honorable Discharge on Feb 16, 1978. These stories about Carter or Clinton upgrading his discharge are nonsense. People are making them up out of whole cloth. We should focus our efforts on Kerry's antiwar activities and what he did while still a member of the inactive reserves subject to recall. Kerry has tried to hide the fact that he was still a member of the reserves during the period 1970-72. The timeline on his website has been revised to create the impression that he was discharged in 1970. No mention is made of the date of his HD or the fact that he was transferred from the inactive reserves to the standby reserves in July 1972.

"We should focus our efforts on Kerry's antiwar activities"

Also consider his present day words. He thanks the soldiers in one line, then mentions 1000 + lost lives, votes against money supporting Troops, and says Allawi is nothing more than a puppet. TRAITOR - no two ways about it.
