"Almost a year later, in April 1091"
Makes me feel old :\
Addendum:
When I was 23 years old, almost 2 years into my AS in Computer Programming, I attempted to enlist in the Air Force to follow in my fathers footsteps. I was a GED graduate.
They declined and told me to check later. The Navy, however, was willing to give me a shot since I did have the college credits. However, I have a juvinile record of petit crimes commited between the ages of 14 and 17.
The Navy found interest in my IT background, but said they wanted career people to join under my circumstances(juvy record, GED). They said because of my past, I would not get the clearances that I would need to perform the duties I qualified best for.
They said I could still join, but I would end up doing jobs I wouldn't like and opt out after 2-4 years. I respectfully declined and pushed my computer career forward.
If I can't get even a menial job in the Air Force, or something like watching RADAR on an aircraft carrier all day... why on God's Green Earth would Kerry get the highest position in all of the military with his background.. which pales in comparison to my past?
