Sounds like a DOD clearance -- not that big of a deal.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not, so I'm not trying to bust your chops. But, a Top Secret security clearance carries the trust of the nation, and thus, also carries serious consequences for a violation of that trust. Jail time and monetary fines are explicitly mentioned for such a violation. Mine is still valid for a few months even though I've been out of the Intell Community since 9/11 (just through a quirk of timing I scheduled my last day at my previous job for that date), and I'm looking forward to a loosening of the pucker factor!

What Kerry was briefed on thru DOD in Vietnam is nothing compared to what he has been briefed on presently in his role as Senator.

There relative importance is like old flour to new cookies.
