Not that I want to take up for Kerry (he s#@&s) but I was a Naval Reservist and had a Top Secret Clearance. I had to have one because I was attached to Naval Control of Shipping and attended Anti Sub-warfare school.

You make my point for me. You had a reason to have an active clearance. Kerry (AFAIK) left active duty and never looked back.
As much as I'd like to see him crumble under a two-pronged attack (having a clearance revoked/less than honorable discharge), I'm taking a wait and see attitude on this one.
