Yeah.. Ok.. Whatever.
Just like the dems, the Yankees will try AGAIN to BUY another world series.
The Sox are a great team with a real cast of characters that showed some tru grit, even when they were down by 8 runs. I hardly think they "suck". Your pretty boy pinstripes almost BLEW the game last night. It is a long series and the Yanks have won NOTHING yet.
I did find it a bit amusing how they were all jacked up when they were up by 6 runs, but when the game was over they were much more subdued. Look for Pedro to have a good game tonight and keep them in it. Sox will score and score again on the spankees.
Well, they did win the AL East... Again!...

Buy another World Series? I suppose the other teams players work for free? The Yankees are America's Team because they do whatever it takes to win. Unlike loser teams (ie. Red Sux) they are willing to pay top price for performance. If you don't get the job done you are gone. Seems like a good capitalist philosophy. BTW, the sox payroll is not exactly at the bottom of the scale.
Look, I'm not a fan of either team, but with this year's Sox that sure sounds like a "pot and kettle" situation.
the reason they were "jacked" was your boy Shilling ate his words. They can't wait to see him again in this series and he knows it.
And may I remind you of the RedSox FAILED attempt to buy a world series when they let A-Rod go.
We'll see about Pedro tonight and what his uniform looks like next year.
Lost causes are for Democrats. Republicans should side with winners. Go Yankees.
The Sox salary is not exactly small. They 'buy' players all the time too. It's the teams in Minnesota, KC, and Cincinnati that need to bitch about 'buying' players, not a team with this many purchased free agents.
I hate the Yankees and only want them to win when playing Boston.
In fact, I can't stand baseball and never watch it. My time is better spent doing more productive things, like FReeping and playing XBox.
Yes, George Steinbrenner spends a lot of money, but he wasn't stupid enough to spend $20 million a year on Man Ram. NICE defense by Ramirez in Left Field. For $20 million, you get a great hitter, lousy fielder, worse baserunner and a guy who isn't so great in the clubhouse either. No wonder the Red Sox can't win The Big One.
I hate the Yankees AND the Red Sox. Both get by on huge cable TV markets. Both buy up everyone else's players. Both are insufferably obnoxious. Both think they're God's gift to baseball. Outside of the Northeast, it's tiresome.
