Ahhhhh... HMMMM......
Some sort of dim memory has been nagging me for a while, and now I just managed to surface it.
Way back when, wasn't it the tradition when a volcano erupted, to try to get it to quiet down by propitiating the angry gods?
And wasn't the most effective form of propitiation deemed to be throwing someone into the volcano?
I hereby open the (crater) floor for suggestions...

Wrong eruption, wrong mountain, wrong time. Kerry didn't vote for the first eruption, and if he had his way, the top of the mountain would still be in place and safely contained.

I had a dream about St. Helens blowing up last night. I was walking down the street and was wondering why all these lunatics were running in the opposite direction of me, looking terrified. Then I look up and the whole horizon is billowing ash up in the air as if the whole mountain and about 1000 square miles around it, all blew up. Then I turned around and started running like a lunatic too.
