I'd bet this deal is dead before it starts.

Mid November starts the countdown for Iran.

Israel is planning a finish.

Iran will get taken out soon as Russia get's paid for the job. I wouldn't be surprised if Russia is in our decision loop with the Israelis. Could turn into a giant sting with Russia making some cash.

One of the things I love about this president is that he says what he means...and countries had better pay attention.

"Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons." GWB on O'Reilly Factor, Sept. 28th, 2004.

The Russians should get a new and improved bush doctrine. That is- If any country helps a rogue state to in any way become nuclear capable, then that country can be assured of mutual assured destruction, if the rogue country in any way missuses that technology. This would include such things as the rogue country sells to terorists ect. In other words Russia or France or any country selling this lethal technology to any state, the selling state would at penalty of mutual assured destuction, always be responsible for that rogue states action.

Hey Pootie Poot, if the article is true, I'll wager that Russia gets hit with the first islamofacist nuke.

Come on Vlad, wake up and smell the plutonium before it becomes critical.

I used the term rather loosely. My point is that if you sell to a rogue regime especially Muslim governments, it is not a matter of if you will have problems; Only when. So any country that wants to profiteer by dealing will the worlds lunatic fringe; Then that country should be made very aware that his short term profit will become a long term nightmare.

Iran, Russia Say They Near Nuke Fuel Deal
NewsMax Wires
Monday, Oct. 11, 2004

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran and Russia said Sunday they were close to finalizing a long-delayed protocol on returning spent nuclear fuel to Russia, paving the way for the launch of a Russian-built nuclear power plant in southern Iran in 2006.

Russia has said it will not ship nuclear fuel to Iran until both countries sign an agreement under which all spent fuel would be returned to Russia. The agreement is intended to prevent Iran from using spent fuel to make nuclear weapons.

No. They pick up their news from other sources, rarely do they break stories.

Russia is moving into the Mideastern orbit. China is already there. It is going to get interesting.

AlJazeera is not a reliable source for news.

There was a news conference. All the wires were there. There are direct quotes. AP and others are all confirming this.

What's the problem?

There is no problem. AlJazeera is not a reliable source for news. I'll probably believe an article from AP and Reuters without verification from another source. I will not believe an unverified story from AlJazeera. The poster of this thread found other sources to verify this story, I now accept it as true.
