One of Bush's best speeches of the campaign has got to be the one at the Urban League where he boldly demanded that blacks consider leaving the democratic party to vote GOP.

Many were concerned that Bush would be booed there based on his recent dis of the NAACP.

He was received very, very well. I think he would be similarly received at a black church with a pastor that supports him, and there are many.

" I think he would be similarly received at a black church with a pastor that supports him".
Perhaps, but the question is why white churches are intimidated by the government and IRS against the very mention of politics in their churchs? White churches have lost their tax exemption for warning against politicians who support abortion, gay marriage, etc. Seems anything goes in the black churches. What gives?
I have worked for years in the civil rights movement. I have always attended integrated churches and for years, though I am white, was a member of a 95% black congregation, leading in the worship there. I believe I am qualified to ask this question: Why does the strict enforcement of "separation of church and state" apply only to whites?
