Unless it's proven that they gave Saddam a kickback from their profits illegally, I don't understand why their being in the market for oil is a questionable activity.

A very important distinction here is that Oscar Wyatt was sending Saddam kickbacks so he could:
1) get more oil contracts from Saddam
2) Saddam could use that kickback money to buy weapons to kill GIs

To my knowledge, the 4 Oil Companies in question were not accused of kicking back $$$ to Saddam
OFF was set up and run by the UN, so of course US oil companies would be involved.
The question is: did they kick back money to Saddam.

As for the 3 individuals in question:
Wyatt Announced in March 1997 that he would retire and begin lobbying in Washington to lift sanctions against Iraq and Libya.

Samir Vincent is an anti-war activist

Mr. Khafaji financed a controversial film about Iraq by Scott Ritter, the former United Nations arms inspector who opposed the American-led invasion of Iraq.

The 3 individual in question were Saddam tools.
