God Speed to all stationed there. I was born at this base in 1966 - my father was in the Navy, where he met my native Japanese mother. I am a fellow Asian half-breed 100% behind George Bush.
I grew up in Sagamihara and Yokohama 1951-1961. My dad worked the the US Army's Japan Procurement Agency. Us Army and Navy brats would catch the bus from Yokohama to Yokosuka and go roller skating at a big rink on the Navy base.
How ironic. The only time I've ever been in Japan, I spent 2 weeks at Kamiseya, right around the corner from Yokosuka - and had to ride out a typhoon then, too.
