New York, NY, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- A conservative U.S. broadcaster whose outlets reach one-quarter of the nation's TV viewers is airing a film that attacks John Kerry just before the election.
Sinclair Broadcast Group has ordered its 62 stations to preempt regular programming during primetime to air "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
The film, funded by Pennsylvania veterans and produced by a veteran and former Washington Times reporter, features former POWs accusing Kerry -- a decorated U.S. Navy veteran who later protested the war -- of worsening their ordeal by prolonging the conflict.
The one-hour special, which will be aired between Oct. 21 and Oct. 24 depending on the city, will be followed by a panel discussion to which Kerry will be invited, potentially satisfying fairness regulations, the Times reported.

You must be young or naive.
It is obvious there is quite a bit of information you lack. Try this on for size (from a thread posted here).
Now if you are outraged and want to act, start by emailing the whole article (and not the link) out to everyone you know.

Now tell me about taking the "moral road".
Here's your cheap shot - this was aimed at us starting two years ago.

This is actually not as good as it sounds. This just opens the door for Moore's piece of crap work of fiction to be aired nationwide by a larger network. You'll see. Showtime has the right, therefore it will be nothing for CBS to get it since they're both owned by Viacom. CBS is shameless in their efforts to shill for Kerry - they will not hesitate to do this and it will probably not be edited for content (the original was rated R) nor will it have any commercial interruption. If not CBS, then definitely MTV. Likely, both.
Good.
Let's have a National Debate on it.
It can be shot down with a live presser by the President right after it airs.
Moore is going to do what he can to damage Bush anyway.
He was working on airing his trash on TV the day before the election, before Sinclair announced anything.
Surely you don't think, that if we don't air the truth about Kerry, the Dems will stop lying about Bush?
And we MUST tell the voters the truth about Kerry.
As far as I can determine I got it mixed up with his speaking tour:
Sep. 28, 2004
Sam Penrod Reporting
Controversial filmmaker Michael Moore started his national speaking tour last night, the same tour that will bring him to UVSC next month. And he's calling his speaking campaign, the 'Slacker Uprising Tour.'
**snip**
Moore writes on his webpage, "I am calling for a non-voter uprising, led by thousands of campus slackers who proudly sleep 'til noon and who believe papers are for rolling, not reading." That comment is an apparent reference to smoking marijuana.
Moore says he hopes his speeches will, "convince the fed-up, the burned-out, and the Nader-impaired to leave the house for just a half-hour on November 2nd and mark an "X" in a box so that America and the world can be saved." ____________________________________________________________
Looks like he is trying to get the vote our among the Liberal College Elite faction...
>I have mixed feelings about this. I don't want the same thing being done with Moore's flick, so why should it be done with this one?<
Because Moore's is outrageous lies and distortion and this is the truth, that's why.
I can't believe there are freepers here that do not recognize the difference.
>Are you sure you are on the right website? <
I was wondering the same thing. I am beginning to smell a wolf in sheep's clothing.
>The fate of the country, our very lives are at stake. It's time to pull out all the stops, to defeat the enemy: KERRY.<
Amen!
We have played doormat to the democrap long enough. Everything of value is at stake in this election and the truth must get out! We don't elect traitors to the highest office in the land.
As you read further in the thread, you will find that those same two posters express doubt whether Stolen Valor is really true, and make a moral equivalence of it with Moore's lies. That's when I lost my patience.
We can't win a "sensitive" war against the terrorist, and we can't win a "sensitive" campaign against the Democrats.
The Democrats have been lying and making the most outrageous accusations against Bush, with no basis in the truth for the past year and a half.
It's about time we really get with the program and make sure the American voters learn the truth about Kerry NOW, before it's too late.
I agree.
Who other than Sinclair might also be convinced to do this? 24% isn't enough. Clear Channel owns a bunch. How about them?
I read all their crap and I do believe my blood pressure went up at least 50 points..lol
I will be calling Sinclair's office Monday to thank them for this opportunity to share the truth with those the MSM have tried to keep in the dark.
I understand that many of Sinclair's stations are in battleground states, so it goes to the right 24%.
I am glad there are some good Republicans who try to do something.
The Democrats have Soros, who has been not just providing money, but he has been funding all kinds of shady operations, such as voter fraud.
Another thing to keep in mind related to the fairness of showing Stolen Honor is this: Moore and his backers have just released the video and DVD version of Fahrenheit 9/11 into the stores. I saw a huge display filled with videos for the first time today. What a coincidence that this happened 24 days before the election. It's perfectly reasonable to argue that the broadcast of Stolen Honor is a counter-strike against four months of Moore's propaganda flick in the theaters followed by release of DVD and video just before the election. It's pure hypocrisy for the Kerry campaign to claim this is unfair where they haven't said a word about that bloated propagandist and his vicious, highly deceptive little film.
Jewel, as SueAngel says, you can buy the DVD for 19.99 or you can do a pay per view online for 4.99.
It sounds like the ppv is a one time fee for unlimited access to it.

BTT!!!!!!!
HOO-RAH!...there's a Lex. Ky. :))
I'm sorry. I had logged out. If you give me your schedule then I can make sure I am online to respond to each and every one of your posts.
If you are serious, just buy, WS has been sluggish at the fear of a Kerry presidency.
I don't know everything, although it may seem so from the position of most people. The fact is that I know politics and media. If you can, watch both media shows on cable. CNN and FoxNews each have one. It's a media-criticizing-the-media thing. I don't know if this news broke early enough, but I guarantee the media navel-gazers will decry this from the highest rooftop. This will be a huge story in the incestuous world of the press and it will have the effect of neutralizing the gains we've made against Rather and Halperin.
