Just remember how off the mark Rasmussen was last election, and how on the money Zogby was. Just a fact. V's wife.

Um wrong. You are referring to 2000, in the LAST election, 2002 Zogby got 5 out of 17 races wrong. Rass called every one right.

"If you look at the daily numbers, it appears there was a slight downtick for bush since the 1st debate.. then his numbers went up starting after the VP debate."

You nailed it. The bounce was Cheney's contribution.

And the way he kept repeating the "undecideds" names again and again . . . I thought to myself, enough already! Total overkill.

I gotta read the transcripts, but it seemed to me that he called every woman Vicki or Nicki.......I don't think he got their names right? That's what I was thinking during the debate anyway.

Which means the 1st Post Debate bounce for Bush was HUGE.

On FreeRepublic, it's common knowledge that we say such things are HUGH and yes, I am series.

JFK was tied with GWB in NJ before the first debate. Afterwards, JFK pulled ahead by 8 pts. During the second debate, JFK vowed to raise taxes on those who make more then $ 200K. Guess what, in NJ we have many RINO and independents (in NJ up to 25 percent of voters) who are social liberals but fiscal conservatives. I think next week GWB will tie with JFK. Bad news for JFK because he will need to spend money to defend NJ (traditionally votes Dem because of RINO/liberterian independents).

Here's something else that has been forgotten. In 2000, Zogby's last California poll was a TIE 43 - 43 Bush Gore. The actual turned out to be 15 points higher for Gore. I just read that in a book with a chapter about the election.

Burr is now competitive in the NC Senate race because of a tobacco-buyout plan that may pass the Senate next week. This plan would help Burr in the Democrat part of eastern NC.

I just hope that going into election day Dubya is up by three or four points. If it is within two points I am afraid rampant voter fraud will tilt a state or two in Kerry's favor. It really scares me!!!!!

W had $84 income listed on his 2001 Tax Return. Since all of his investments have been in a blind trust upon being elected, even GWB would not know where his financial advisors have invested. Apparently, some money was put into timber or wood products company. It would seem logical that the Prez did not know that he owned stock in a timber company. I'm sure that was the reason for his surprised response.

There was a whole lot that went in to the lopsidedness of CA in 2000, namely, Florida being called for Gore.

See, in CA, it takes a half hour to vote because of all the referendums, and in presidential elections, there are always lines in the afternoon. So, if you left for work in the morning at 6:00am, and left work for home at 5:00pm, you could a)wait in line for a half hour to vote for a half hour and get home TWELVE hours after you left, or b)after hearing that Gore already won enough electoral votes to win the election, you could go straight home and kiss your wife and kids and sit down for dinner.

All the welfare and convict democrats voted earlier in the day, but many republicans, sorry to say, just didn't vote in 2000.

Look for CA to be ALOT closer this time around.

I believe the President. A measly $85.00 for 1%"ownership"?! The President has some kind of fund(word?).In other words, he doesn't know all the details on what he has.He has an accountant for that. I have a 401K and I don't know all of the specific companies I have stock in. Strange, isn't it that these remarks on ownership in a timber company comes from a billionaire? When is he going to release all of his dealings, let alone his form 180?
