I watched it from the end of the debate. Huge crowd gathered around Pres. Bush. Camera panned out, Kerry walked around aimlessly, started looking for people to shake hands with as people WALKED RIGHT BY HIM!

IF that audience was actually a bunch of St. Louis area "swing voters",
there should have been at least a small crowd of union members, university profs/workers
and the like rushing to shake Kerry's hand.
