Kerry started off stronger. Bush began the repetition right off the get go. But a few questions in you could literally see an I'm not going to sit idle and take this crap snap in Bush. He just took charge from there, putting Kerry on the defence. Bush peaked on the abortion issue raised by a young woman, who seemed to me like she was choking back tears asking the question of Kerry if he would use tax dollars to fund abortion. Very strong appearance tonight by Bush.

I really liked how, after the first couple of questions, Bush started just jumping up after sKerry would finsh his rebuttal, and start talking, not waiting for Gibson's OK to do a follow-up.

It was only a few minutes that Bush needed to warm up. I remember thinking, "Uh oh... Not AGAIN!" And then he got out there, walked around with that mike, and began to speak powerfully, with passion and conviction. YES! YES! YES!!

He stayed on the offensive the entire time. Only once did I concede that Kerry "sounded" better (when he was lying about the deficit -- some people wouldn't know he was lying and he sounded good at that point, but only BRIEFLY).
