photos do nothing to harm the server's performance. If you have an issue with them, then it's your web connection's problem.

I like the pics because I'm not watching TV right now. And they aren't slowing my 56K modem at all... Most internet browsers allow you to make it stop downloading graphics--maybe you could do that and you could load the page faster.
