October 8th Bush/Kerry Debate
That is the look of an arrogant ass trying desperately to avoid sneering.
Hi! Actually, I am on shift [and working hard, of course!] But I have a TV. Haven't spoken to any other soldiers yet. It started about 1000 [that's AM] and I'll be here until 1800. The general consensus on the last one was that the idea of Kerry as commander in chief scares the hell out of everybody. If he can't keep his fourth point of contact down for four months, he sure isn't any "help" coming OUR way!
Cashin' big checks.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! That's what I wanted to hear. On the way home from the game, I was listening to callers into Colmes radio show, and all they could talk about was how Bush wouldn't answer some stupid "tell us about three mistakes you've made" question. I figured when that was all they talked about there weren't any gaffes.
Right. Think I will stick to 2 I know are newbies to politics and not put any trust in polls that have been shown that the internals have been messed to produce desired results this season over and over.
Good point! Rush has a tremendous following and he has never pretended to be 'fair and balanced.'
And we know you're right because the MSM was spinning this as a tie, and PBS gave it narrowly to the President.
I like your tag line.
It was OK until he made the snide remark about President Reagna not wearing his faith on his sleeve, I supposed as opposed to President Bush, who is not ashamed to publicly declare his. Neither way is wrong, that's not what I'm saying, but he made it sound as if people should go around with their heads down and be furtive about their faith, when for many people it's one of the biggest parts of who they are and informs all they do. The day will come soon enough when people have to hide their faith. And I don't see liberals like him requiring Muslims or others than Christians to be "discreet" about their faith, like not wearing their headscarves or other symbols that they are REQUIRED to wear daily. He's another liberal hypocrite.
I was thinking about this, for the past few months, but particularly in the last few days. WHAT THE **** has John Kerry done to even (to use a legal term) have standing to run for POTUS?
His war record? That he was a hero of a war for which he received four deferments, three Purple Hearts, two tours of duty, and a partridge in Cambodia? (Christmas must be near...) Well, the SwiftBoat Vets and POWs kinda shot that to he**, didn't they?
His record as an anti-war protestor, and negotiator with the Viet Cong WHILE STILL A MEMBER OF THE MILITARY? Something, I might add, to which HE ADMITTED!!!
His record in the Senate? WHAT RECORD? Liberal spendthrift from Taxachusetts? More liberal than Ted Kennedy?
At the end of the day, WHY ARE WE EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS A**CLOWN?
I told my girlfriend today, freedom is not free. In this race (that ought not be a race), there is only one person that I trust to keep my family and me safe, and to paraphrase Maryland Lt. Governor Michael Steele at the RNC, it's....
"NOT JOHN KERRY!!!"
foxnews.com has a photo essay on the debate. There are pictures of President Bush and Senator Kerry shaking hands as well as Mrs. Bush and Mrs. hyphen shaking hands. Both the President and the First Lady are looking the condiment king and queen in the eyes and neither of them are returning the courtesy. How RUDE!
Not much! I grew up in Red Sox country (one of my grandmothers was a fan from the 1920s on) and now live in Cubs country. I've seen fights start over similar assessments, and those were assessments given by real baseball fans, not elitist girliemen who think the Packers play at Lambert Field and Eddie Yost played for the Sox.
My theory: Feeling stupid is usually the opposite of being stupid.
Example: Do you think Kerry feels stupid tonight?
Thank you! This is my first day on the job as a Freeper. It IS the hardest job I've ever loved. I was inspired by CPT Hayes. There's too much at stake to be a lurker.
Kerry is talking about how under Bush North Korea has gone from 1 nuke bomb to 7 nukes. Gee Lurch, When was it that they developed that first bomb and who helped them?
You're right. Rush gets around 20 million listeners a day. If Fox or any of these cable channels held an audience of 1 million--or even half a million--for an hour they would throw a party.
I watched this debate on C-Span,and it's very easy to tune Fox out, what with Free Republic(which I am turning ALL my 9 siblings and assorted other family and friends on to:)),and the fact that Fox shows reruns all night(my prime viewing time),and stupid stuff like Greta and O'Really suck up so much time that could be devoted to hard news. Sometimes Fox has been so tabloid-ish.
Yeah noticed that to. Even Fred barnes.
I just wonder if they are baiting Kerry so he will agree to the OReily interview? If not, it's weird
Welcome aboard!
Nothing like an election to pull the lurkers out into the foray!!
Spoken like the Masters in Business Administration that he is.
