The exit polls of 2000 had Bush winning men 53-42 (white men 60-36) and 43-54 among women (white women 49-48). The exit polls of 2002, however, had Republicans almost even among women, winning big time among white women.

I don't see how the dynamics and security needs of women have changed much since 2002.

That's why I think Rasmussen is bunk. The gender gap is very real and very big, but the Republicans are making gains among women and the Democrats are not making gains among men.

Again, what evidence is there that these exit polls are correct? They don't even correctly predict the turnout when actual precinct books are checked.

There is no evidence besides polling for a gender gap. So if polling shows no gender gap, what do we really have to go on to dispute it?

There is real precinct voting data and census data to show the racial gap between blacks and whites (and that data shows a much larger gap than exit polling). There is nothing for the gender gap.
