In perhaps the most awkward blooper of the evening, Cheney told Edwards to his face that they had never met before the debate, despite evidence they had. Edwards' campaign later provided a transcript of a February 2001 prayer breakfast at which Cheney began his remarks by acknowledging the North Carolina senator. The campaign also said Cheney, in his capacity as Senate president, had sworn in Edwards.
Okay, class, what's wrong with that statement?????

Besides the fact that the last time I checked, US senators serve six year terms, and since Edwards would be up for re-election this year if he were running, he would have had to be sworn in in 1998, whie Algore was Senate president, nothing at all.

Okay, class, what's wrong with that statement????? "It depends on what the meaning of 'met' is."
'Met' vs. 'met', 'Is' vs. 'is'. Same old same old.

In perhaps the most awkward blooper devastating rebuke of the evening in the history of the world, Cheney told Edwards to his face that they had never met before the debate I'd like to see Edwards campaign tomorrow on the "I did TOO meet Dick Cheney before last night" platform. Oh really? Then why didn't you bring it up AT THE DEBATE??? Maybe you should have channeled a dead baby or something.

How does private citizen Cheney in 1998 swear in the newly elected Senator Edwards?
