Absolutely right! I've lived in NC all my life and I have never--NEVER--heard anybody talk like John Edwards. He's channeling Scarlett O'Hara.
what kills me is when he says world and pronounces it "Worl" and does that stupid left cheek tongue flick.
Makes me want to punch my TV - grrr.
