Edwards: There is no connection between Iraq and the attacks of 9/11 but the VP keeps saying there is.
Cheney: The Senator has his facts wrong. I have never said there is a connection between Saddam and 9/11. But there is a connection between Iraq and terrorists. The fact of the matter is that THEY have a very limited view of how to deal with state sponsors of terrorists. They have a "global" view that goes back to Kerry's saying troops should not be deployed without UN approval, voted against the Gulf War. A little tough talk in the middle of a campaign cannot obscure the truth. There is no basis to believe they will forcefully handle the war on terror.
