But I think Bremer is saying now that more troops were needed - said it sometime in the past week or so. (of course, it was not up to him to make that decision)

Leahy wanted to play nice in public after having spent the entire day calling Cheney a Halliburton 'ho.

What an appropriate term Cheney used for the occasion.

Dick Morris said last night that he wasn't sure about a Bush win anymore. Wonder what changed his mind in 24 hours.

We should all put out our "Dream" questions:

" Senator Edwards: Given that the awards in your successful trials amounted to substantial amounts, reported to be in excess of $27MM for you, and given the usual fee arrangement resulted in greater economic benefit for you personally at the detriment of the injured party, and given that you had the choice of reducing your share of those awards, have you ever reduced your share below which you would normally assume and in those cases why did you"?

Halliburton did a lot of contracting work in Bosnia. Maybe that's what the dims are talking about. Or was that a good war? I forget.

I jumped in in the middle. Sorry to display such bad manners but I've got to know what tonight's drinking rules are.

I only have some Kentucky's finest so leave any beer attributions out.

I want to see a smackdown.

Somebody on FNC was pointing out how Edwards is so genial and mild - isn't there a danger of Cheney coming on so strong that he appears to be "picking on the little guy"? I'm sure the MSM would try to spin it that way anyhow.

The last election is when my husband bought a television for the kitchen. A neighbor told him he was lucky...at least he was getting meals.

My neighbor ordered in for 6 weeks.

Yes he did, but how could a guy with a great German name like Fahrenkopf ever pronounce "Anheuser" as AN-how-zer, rather than the correct AN-hi-zer? It boggles the mind.

And, btw, is Hundert setting off anyone else's gaydar?

Great comment. So what if there was no Saddam/Al Qaeda link. There was no link between Hitler and Pearl Harbor.

As a friend of mine said, "Kennedy went out At the Top of His Game", otherwise he very well might have become an invalid. The Kennedy Myth is one of my major peeves.

Interesting parallels with FDR in the obfuscation of their physical healths and mythmaking.
