Obeying the rules is not trivial.
I know some Dems who look at this type of stuff in a candidate and it would sour them on Kerry.
Just because you have an overly negative view of Americans does not mean it is accurate.
not on your life, and I DO have two sons of what was once draft age
He still broke the debate rules.
This is not a particularly compelling scandal and will only make our side look bad, stabbing for an 'excuse' for Dubya's loss.
We should focus on winning, not this peripheral stuff. That being said, we need to keep Kerry honest in matters like this in debates 2 and 3.
.
That is my guess as well...it seems to me that LGF poster was just looking for something.
Presentation case for a Purple Heart?
Just rechecked the LGF quote.....that is from Kerry's opening statement.
I agree with you; he just said that because it was obvious that they would discuss Iraq and homeland security on a debate focused on those subjects!
It means nothing regarding getting stuff ahead of time.
I think people want to believe Kerry had the questions ahead of time because it provides an explanation for how sucky GW was.
If anybody sees the supposed earpiece, let us know. I doubt there was one, but thought I would post it for examination anyway.
A lot said the same here - looking for something.
Now, if Kerry suggested the question about Sudan was coming up...!
The debate was in Florida...and there wasn't a Cuba question? Sheesh.
Maybe he thought Bush might wet himself if Bush got too close or something. "Depends" briefs maybe?
It's medals...no ribbons...medals...ribbons
That's great. He certainly unfolded something.
MAJOR "OOPS" on my part. My snarky remak got messed up in the editing. It should have said "Maybe he thought he might wet himself if Bush got too close or something."
"Maybe he thought Bush might wet himself if Bush got too close or something. "Depends" briefs maybe?"
---Are you suggesting that Bush is scared of Kerry? Bush might not have done well in that debate but scared of botox-boy he's not.
saw your clarification
As a public school teacher, I feel it sets a terrible example to the children of America for a presidential candidate to openly break the rules of debate in front of 55 million people who took this seriously enough to watch late into the night.
Also this is the official N.E.A. candidate. I wonder if the great ultra liberal teachers union will demand an explaination or an apology. I wonder how many high school civics classes had watching the debate as a homework assignment for class discussion the following day. Also how many lib. teachers spun a great Kerry debate victory in class next day.
even if it was a love note from Teresa, it wasn't permitted by rules and sends wrong message to kids.
