"The folks who lost their jobs in buggy whip factories were able to get new jobs precisely because we had not shipped our industrial base overseas."And just like now, they had to 'retool' their skill sets.
Can't find a job? There is a serious shortage of IT Auditors. Retool.

Can't find a job? There is a serious shortage of IT Auditors. Retool. Really, how many, 100,000 to absorb all the lost IT positions? How about the 400,000 lost textiles positions with minimal education? The autoplants were across the street from the buggy whip makers employing only Americans. Small transfer. These jobs are now in India employing NO Americans. Apples and oranges made to deceive the masses.

Again, you are missing the point. The IT jobs have not been made obsolete, as was the manufacturing of buggy whips. The reason they are gone is third world wages, not technological innovation.

There is a serious shortage of IT Auditors. RetoolA BS in Accounting is now a 5-year course per the governing accounting association (national.)
THEN, of course, one has to take a heavy programming (not MS crap) courseload, as well.
Finally, someone has to get hired by a CPA firm--or perhaps a very large industrial or financial--to actually get into the field.
