Do think Putin sits back in a secluded room in his mansion and cries in his vodka over the US losing Americans on 9/11 or the war on terror?
I'd give him credit for being shocked, especially since he already had been dealing with the aftermath of bombings in Russia. I don't think you absolutely had to be an American to be saddened and stunned by 9-11. With some very notable exceptions, the reactions around the world mirrored our own feelings.
I know you don't have to be a Russian to wish slow, painful dying on the perpetrators of Beslan.
