It's obvious that criticism of the president's debate performance has been met with very personal, negative responses here. I repeat, it does him a disservice to believe that he cannot do better, or to accept Thursday night as being acceptable. He must do better. Too much depends upon it.

No-one-has-said-he-couldn't-do-better.

What we are telling you is that his performance was trumped by substance, and the world did not end Thursday night. Sorry, if you want me to say you are right to focus on Style over substance, you are going to be disappointed. I find it foolish that this argument is STILL occuring when we should all be dissecting Kerry's words and hitting them hard.

Furthermore, critisism has been met with two varied responses.

For trolls and sleepers, it has been met with ridicule.

For legit Bush supporters, it has been hit with a passionate opposing view.

Now I'm going to take my own advice and cease this thread as the Newsweek poll has been debunked, the hysteria subsided, and frankly I'm tired of entertaining the idea style has more weight than substance. These arguments serve no purpose other than to win a "point". If you want G.W. to win, start concentrating on Kerry's words and let The prez's team take care of "performance" concerns.
