In a three-way trial heat, the Bush/Cheney ticket gets 49 percent of the vote among registered voters; the Kerry/Edwards ticket gets 43 percent of the vote; Ralph Nader/Peter Camejo get 2 percent, the poll shows. One week ago, in the Newsweek Poll taken at the end of the GOP convention and the day after the convention, Bush/Cheney had pulled to an 11- point lead (52% v. 41%) with 3 percent for Nader/Camejo. In a two-way trial without the Nader ticket, among registered voters, Bush/Cheney are ahead of Kerry/Edwards 50 to 45 percent, with five percent of registered voters undecided.
